WGBH International Internship

Department Description: WGBH International is responsible for sales, marketing, and distribution of all WGBH and other television programs to foreign broadcasters. Interns will have opportunities to participate in management of client communication, delivery of broadcast materials, production of marketing brochures, contract administration, videotape order fulfillment, and database management.

WGBH Intern Requirements:

  • WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Interns must receive college credit for the internship.
  • Internships are unpaid.

College Major Desire:

Communications, Media, or International Business

Skills Preferred:

The ideal candidates will have good organizational, computer, phone, people, and office skills, as well as online research skills. Knowledge of a foreign language is a plus.

Duties include but are not limited to:

The WGBH Interns will assist the International Sales and Marketing team with the following activities (non-inclusive):
  • New client research (e.g. researching availability of titles for new clients)
  • Editing of Marketing Materials
  • Assistance with contract process
  • Video series order fulfillment
  • Fulfillment of videotape screener requests from clients
  • Management of databases
  • Addition of new clients to database
  • Assistance with new projects as assigned by Director
