TV Pledge Production Internship
WGBH is public service media for New England - on TV, radio, the Web, and out in the community.
We're the single largest producer of PBS prime-time and online programming, and a major source of
programs heard on public radio from coast to coast. We're a pioneer in educational multimedia and
in media access technologies for people with hearing or vision loss.
Department Description:
WGBH Pledge Production goes live 50-60 times a year and is responsible for producing live
fundraising breaks which are built around various programs during three televised pledge drives
each year. In the interim, we produce fundraising spots for use during upcoming pledge drives. Our
team is looking for an intern to assist in all phases of production.
Internship Description:
- Assisting in preparation for live studio production
- Assisting at live productions in the WGBH studio
- Assisting with field shoots
- Archiving of audio/visual materials
- Video Duplication
- Research
- Logging of field tapes
Skills Preferred:
Qualified candidates will possess computer skills (Mac skills are a plus), including online
research skills, a basic knowledge of studio/field production, the ability to work in a
fast-paced environment, organization, and initiative.
WGBH Intern Requirements:
- WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Internships are unpaid.
