National Sponsorship: Marketing/Communications Internship
WGBH is public service media for New England - on TV, radio, the Web, and out in the community.
We're the single largest producer of PBS prime-time and online programming, and a major source of
programs heard on public radio from coast to coast. We're a pioneer in educational multimedia and
in media access technologies for people with hearing or vision loss.
Department Description:
National Marketing raises funds from corporations for WGBH and other national television and radio productions. Known to the public and to clients as the Sponsorship Group for Public Television (SGPTV).
Marketing and Client Services works with sponsors and their advertising and public relations agencies to create and coordinate all publicity, outreach, advertising, merchandising and promotional activities undertaken to promote their public broadcasting sponsorship.
National Corporate Sponsorship serves as the liaison representing sponsors' interests to WGBH producers, talent, Educational Productions and Outreach, National Promotion, Legal, Design and other departments, as well as to PBS, including on-air credits.
Internship Description:
Assist the marketing team in a variety of projects, including updating marketing materials using computer programs above, powerpoints and htmls. Administrative assistance (creating sample books, collating, organizing files etc) may be required as well.
Skills Preferred:
Marketing or Design Majors desired. Comprehensive MAC computer skills, including WORD, Excel, Powerpoint, InDesign, HTML/quicktime.
WGBH Intern Requirements:
- WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Internships are unpaid.
