Market Wars Internship
WGBH is public service media for New England - on TV, radio, the Web, and out in the community.
We're the single largest producer of PBS prime-time and online programming, and a major source of
programs heard on public radio from coast to coast. We're a pioneer in educational multimedia and
in media access technologies for people with hearing or vision loss.
Department Description:
WGBH presents a new 20-episode reality series, Market Wars from the producers of the hit PBS series,
ANTIQUES ROADSHOW. Each episode is a stand-alone hour featuring professional antiques dealers and auctioneers
Internship Description:
The intern assists the unit staff and provides support for all aspects of production,
research and project administration as well as office coordination. Responsibilities include
assisting in the coordination of production schedules and travel, staff and equipment;
researching facts; dubbing, organizing and logging tape; and general office duties.
Skills Preferred:
The intern should have superior organizational abilities and excellent written and oral communication
skills. Interns must be able to work effectively both independently and with a team of people in a
fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Familiarity with Macs and the Internet as well as a general
aptitude with computers is necessary. Television production experience is very helpful but not always
required; however, a strong interest in television production is necessary.
WGBH Intern Requirements:
- WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Internships are unpaid.
