FETCH! Internship

Department Description: WGBH Children's Programming is seeking summer and spring semester interns for the second season of a children's television show called FETCH! Part game show, part reality TV, and part spoof, FETCH! features real kids, real challenges, real science, and an unreal host named Ruff Ruffman (yes, he's an animated dog!) Featuring 20 half-hour episodes, FETCH! mixes live-action with animation and breaks the mold with its educational and comical take on America's newest television genre. Targeting six- to ten-year olds, it is spontaneous, unscripted, and full of twists. FETCH! airs daily on PBSkids GO! This internship will offer the opportunity to see how a national children's television program is produced.

WGBH Intern Requirements:

  • WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Interns must receive college credit for the internship.
  • Internships are unpaid.

College Major Desire:

All are encouraged to apply.

Skills Preferred:

  • Strong research and computer skills
  • Experience in television production
  • Interest in children's programming
  • Interest in broadcast media.
  • Candidates should be able to work independently on projects, as well as with the production team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities will include: logging tapes, research projects, general office work, assisting production team on remote shoots, and other duties as assigned.
