Special Events/WGBH Tour Program Internship
Department Description:
The eight members of the Special Events department manage the special events of WGBH,
including the Auction, Wine & Food Weekend, Volunteer Programs, and all other special events.
WGBH Intern Requirements:
- WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Interns must receive college credit for the internship.
- Internships are unpaid.
College Major Desire:
- Education, museum studies/education, or related field preferred
- Junior/senior in college required; master's student preferred
- Interest in elementary or middle school education
Skills Preferred:
- Teaching experience preferred
- Strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills
- Hours flexible; some evening or weekend hours required as needed
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with development of elementary and middle school tour for WGBH Brighton studios
- Assist with docent training
- Provide tours of WGBH studios (including donor/members, community group, school, etc)
- Assist with scheduling docents for tours and scheduling group tours
