Educational Productions Internship
Department Description:
WGBH is now recognized as one of the nation's leading producers of media-based resources to support
teaching and learning. Focusing on both content and methodology at all grade levels, Educational
Productions' work features video libraries that illustrate effective standards-based teaching in
classrooms across the country, targeting the subject areas of science, mathematics, reading, social
studies and foreign languages, and addressing such persistent challenges as assessment, learning
disabilities, and urban school reform.
WGBH Intern Requirements:
- WGBH internships are open only to students enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Interns must receive college credit for the internship.
- Internships are unpaid.
Skills Preferred:
Experience in television and multimedia production as well as with
FileMaker Pro or other database software is preferred.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of MAC Microsoft Word
- Strong organizational skills
- The ability to pay close attention to detail
- Telephone and other office skills
- Internet research skills
- The ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
Duties include but are not limited to:
Duties of an intern will include: research, rights clearance, project
shutdown, and general office work. Participation in multiple projects in production and development
as needed. Candidates should be able to work independently as well as with a production team.
