Design Squad Production Internship

WGBH-TV, Boston, Summer 2008

The Children's Programming Department at WGBH (Channel 2) is looking for a summer production intern for Design Squad, a engineering reality competition show.

The intern will assist with pre-production and production for our third season , which we are filming this summer in the Boston area. Intern duties will include logistics research, procurement of materials needed for our set, organization of project files and materials, and general office work. The intern will work both at WGBH and on our set, a garage workshop located in Cambridge, MA.

Candidates should be detail-oriented and organized. Some experience in documentary television production is preferred, but we will consider all candidates. Strong research and computer skills are essential, as is a willingess to help with all aspects of the production. Our ideal candidate would also have a car and be familiar with the Boston area.

We are looking for a 20-hour commitment per week. Please note that this internship is unpaid, and that individuals must receive college credit in order to intern at WGBH.
