Children's Programming/Arthur Internship

Semester: Fall, Spring, and Summer

The Children's Programming Department at WGBH (Channel 2) is looking for an intern who is committed to children's television. The intern will work primarily in support of Arthur, a daily, animated children's series for four to eight-year-olds, and will assist with all phases of the project including web site maintenance, audience relations, research, and production.

Duties of an intern will include: reading and responding to email generated by the Arthur web site, assisting with the selection and posting of viewer artwork to the site, researching and fact-checking scripts, assistance during field production of live-action segments, organizing and labeling tapes, and general office work. Participation in other projects in production and development as needed. Candidates should be able to work independently as well as with a production team.

Mac skills are a must! Experience in television production and working with children are a real plus.
